How do I install and use the Safe Exam Browser?

The Safe Exam Browser is used for Business and Accounting students to take tests in a controlled environment. Students MUST use their personal laptops or a school laptop, which should be fully charged. Please DO NOT attempt the quiz on smartphones (including iPhones, Android devices, and any other mobile OS devices), iPads, Chromebooks, or low-powered MS Surface Pros, as SEB can lock and damage them .

Steps to Start the Quiz in SEB

· Download instructions will be available on Moodle once the quiz is open.

· Once the Safe Exam Browser is installed, DO NOT OPEN OR RUN THE SEB APPLICATION, as it has no configuration and may lock your laptop.

1. Navigate to the Quiz on Moodle under the assessments tab and click Download Configuration to get the config file.

2. Double-click the config file in your download folder to launch the quiz. During the Quiz:

• The quiz window will open in full-screen mode with no navigation options.

• The window cannot be closed until the quiz is submitted.

• Keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Win, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Alt+F4, F1, Ctrl+P, Print Screen) are disabled.

• Copy-paste and context menu functions are disabled.

• Switching to other applications or websites is not permitted.
