How do I apply for a COE extension?
Steps on Applying for extended COE
If you are unable to complete your course by the end date stated on your Offer Letter or Confirmation of Enrolment (COE), you should submit a COE Application Form at least two study periods before your expected course end date.
Please provide any relevant information and supporting documentation to assist with the assessment of your application.
A course extension application will only be considered for approval if it meets one of the following grounds:
-
Due to compelling or compassionate circumstances that have delayed your academic progress. Supporting documentation, such as a medical certificate or other relevant evidence, must be provided.
-
As a result of an intervention strategy implemented to support you in overcoming academic difficulties.
-
Due to failing an occasional unit, provided this has not resulted in you being assessed as making unsatisfactory academic progress.
You should refer to the Student Progression and Exclusion Policy and associated Procedure for details on the maximum duration permitted. If you fail to complete course requirements within the specified time limit (including any extension of time granted) you will have your enrolment terminated. This information will help us assess your situation so we can appropriately support your needs.
You will be advised of the outcome of your application within five (5) working days.
